Overview
What Sailix liner agency software covers
Sailix liner agency software is shipping agency software for companies that represent shipping lines in a port or country. Each principal line is set up in Line Management with its agency agreement, commission rows and a port-wise cost matrix that can be imported from Excel. The agency then handles the line's bookings, release orders, bills of lading, arrival notices and delivery orders, records invoices and receipts against each job, and builds a statement of account per principal month by month.
Charges, documents and settlement share one set of records. Tariff items carry SAC codes and sit in tax service groups for GST, VAT or TDS, so each charge is taxed by what it is. Detention and demurrage slab profiles by line and port price the days when a delivery order is issued or extended. The agent SOA is built from the invoices and entries already in Sailix, with annexures for import, export, transshipment, detention and container damage cost, and downloads as an Excel workbook.
Principals
Every principal, properly set up.
Each line you represent carries its own costs, tariffs and free-time rules, so its jobs are priced and charged its way.

Detention and demurrage profiles
Slab tariffs set by line and by port.

Questions
Questions and answers
What does Sailix liner agency software cover?
- It covers the work an agent does for a principal line: line profiles with agreement, commission and cost matrix, tariff items, vessel and voyage schedules, bookings, bills of lading, arrival notices, delivery orders, invoices and receipts, and the agent statement of account. Draft and issued B/Ls print in the standard Sailix layout, not on the line's own form.
Who is Sailix liner agency software for?
- It is for liner agents, the companies that represent a shipping line in a port or country and handle its bookings, documents, collections and containers. Sailix keeps bookings, detention profiles and containers against each line, and a line with a login can answer rate requests and approve free days in its own liner portal.
How does Sailix handle GST and customs files for a liner agent in India?
- It raises GST e-invoices itself and prepares customs files for you to submit. Export and import invoices are sent to the Invoice Registration Portal through a GST Suvidha Provider, and the IRN is stored. Cargo Summary Notification and export EDI files are downloads. There is no live connection to ICEGATE, so you upload them through your own filing channel.
How does Sailix prepare the statement of account for a principal?
- Sailix builds it from the invoices and entries already in the system, one principal line at a time. The Agent SOA screen reads one month at a time across an April to March financial year. Rows can be carried forward, debit notes attached and the month closed, which gives the net settlement due. The statement downloads as an Excel workbook.
