Overview

What Sailix container management software covers

Sailix container management software is a system for controlling a shipping container fleet, used by NVOCC operators and liner agencies. It keeps a master record for each unit with its ISO container type, and shows stock across ports, terminals, CFSs, ICDs and depots on one inventory screen. Every move is recorded through pick, drop, load and discharge confirmations and a movement register. A container's place in inventory follows from its latest recorded movement, not from GPS.

Container records connect to the bookings, bills of lading and invoices that use each unit. Free days are set per container against a B/L or booking and routed for approval. Slab tariffs by line and port price detention when a delivery order is issued or extended, and Sailix raises the detention invoice. A damaged empty gets an M&R estimate, and the line's share becomes an M&R invoice that is synced to the agent statement of account. Container Stock and Empty Stock Position reports group containers by location and type.

Questions

Questions and answers

What does Sailix container management software cover?

It covers container inventory by port and facility, a movement register with load, discharge, pick and drop confirmations, free days and their approval, detention and demurrage slab tariffs by line and port, detention invoices and waivers, empty return with M&R estimates and repair invoices, and container acceptance against confirmed bookings.

Who is Sailix shipping container management software for?

It is for NVOCC operators and liner agencies that control a fleet of shipping containers, whether purchased, leased or registered against a line. Agency staff record stock and movements, and a line signed in to its portal can accept containers, confirm picks and drops, and approve free days for its own containers.

How does Sailix bill detention and demurrage?

It bills from slab tariffs you set by line and port. When an import delivery order is issued or extended, Sailix counts the days from discharge, prices them slab by slab, applies any waiver and raises a detention invoice with a PDF. If no profile with rates covers the days, it warns the desk and does not bill.

Does Sailix show the live position of a shipping container?

No. Sailix has no GPS or satellite tracking. A container's place in inventory follows from the latest movement recorded for it, such as a discharge, gate-in, pick or empty return, each with a status and storage location. Movements come from confirmations, manual entries and depot reports uploaded from Excel.
